Tire Revolutions per Mile Calculator
How many times a tire turns per mile and per km, from its size.
Formula
Circumference = π × Diameter ; Revolutions per km = 1 000 000 / Circumference
Assumptions
How many times a tire turns per mile and per km, from its size.
How to read it
The bigger the tire, the fewer revolutions per mile. It is the most readable indicator to compare two fitments: a few revolutions per mile of difference is subtle, a large gap shows up on the speedometer and the effective gearing.
